Health and Wellness
"All members of the school community take personal responsibility for health and balance in their lives supported by a school culture that promotes spiritual, intellectual, physical and social-emotional well-being." –Goal Five, Criterion 2
While Sacred Heart offers developmentally-appropriate health education and comprehensive, competitive athletics, our commitment to health and wellness extends far beyond the classroom and the playing fields.
All students have access to a team of health professionals, including a nurse, psychologist and athletic trainer, who work on campus to provide a wide range of services to the school community. They tend to many immediate needs (administering medication, providing first aid), and coordinate health screenings and testing, while also educating adults and children on key topics, such as food allergies and child safety guidelines.
Within the Field House, the school offers dedicated spaces for aerobics/dance and cardiovascular fitness activities. Similarly, a cyber cafe provides a welcoming space for students to gather and develop strong social and personal skills.
We are also proud of our in-house therapy dog, mascot, and friend to all: FAITH! (click to learn more)
