Volunteer

We rely heavily on our parents for support and assistance. New this school year, we are introducing Track It Forward as our tool for sharing parent volunteer opportunities. This easy-to-use system makes it simple to find opportunities that fit your schedule and keep a personal record of your hours.

Volunteering with Track It Forward

Step 1: Register – Create Your Track It Forward Account

Step 2: Sign Up for Events

  1. From your dashboard, click Events.
  2. Browse the calendar or filter by Learning Community.
  3. Select an event and click Sign Up.
  4. If time slots are available, choose your preferred shift.
  5. You'll receive a confirmation email, and the event will appear on your dashboard.

Step 3: Log Volunteer Hours

  1. Click Log Hours at the top of your dashboard.
  2. Enter the date, number of hours, and activity/event name.
  3. Your entry will be added to your personal volunteer record.

 

Important Notice

To volunteer at Sacred Heart (classroom help, field trips, etc.), parents must complete the Protecting God’s Children training and a background check.

  • Visit VIRTUSOnline.org, select First-Time Registrant, and choose Detroit, MI under organization. After completing the training, submit your name and date via this form.
  • The background check is authorized within the Parent Portal. After logging in, a banner will indicate you have a form to review.
