"The Holy Spirit of the eternal God has come. The Spirit is here: living in us, sanctifying us, strengthening us, consoling us.... The center of all reality, the innermost heart of all infinity, the love of the all-holy God has become our center, our heart." -Karl Rahner, S.J.
I believe the role of a theology teacher, or of any teacher or parent, is to recognize the Spirit within one self and within the other and then be instrumental in drawing forth the Spirit.
New Theology Curriculum
In response to the changing needs of our students and our world and the request of the USCCB (United States Catholic Conference of Bishops) and the Archbishop of Detroit Allen Vigneron, the theology department has revamped the Upper School Theology Curriculum. So, all high school students will see a change in their theology classes and requirements. This year, freshmen, sophomores, and juniors are taking a course called Elements of Faith. The Seniors are contnuing their journey in exploring their spiritual life.
