Sixth Annual Heart of Oak 5K is September 13

On Sunday, September 13 at 9 a.m., the athletic booster club will sponsor the Heart of Oak VI Vicki Oakley Memorial 5K Run, 5K Family Fun Walk and Kids Run. Proceeds support the Gail Purtan Ovarian Cancer Research Fund at the Barbara Ann Karmanos Cancer Institute and the Academy's athletic programs. Register today! or Read press release

More State Honors for Tennis

The MHSAA LP Division 4 state champions recently earned additional recognition from the Michigan High School Tennis Coaches Association. Congratulations to the following Gazelles, named to the First Team All State: Jeannie Nash, #1 Singles; Abby Hildebrand and Selena Fuchs, #1 Doubles; and Sara Gerard and Kendall Gassmann, #2 Doubles. Gretchen Lemon was named to the Second Team All State for #2 Singles and Coach Judith Hehs is the Division 4 Coach of the Year.

2015 Micheline Wentworth Global Scholars Announced

The Academy of the Sacred Heart is pleased to announce that two faculty members, Haifaa Chamma and Luciana Jeler, have been awarded grants through the Micheline Wentworth Global Scholars Program, which is designed to inspire faculty and students to think creatively about ways to increase global awareness. State Champions!

Congratulations, Gazelles! For the third time in four years, the varsity tennis team won the MHSAA LP Division 4 state title. The team won all four doubles flights as well as the title at No. 4 singles. Coach Judith Hehs was voted Regional Coach and is now in the running for State Coach of the Year. Dr. Linnea Smith to Speak on Tuesday, May 12

Linnea Smith, M.D., author of La Doctora: An American Doctor in the Amazon, will speak at ASH on Tuesday, May 12 during "A Night of Exploration." For many years, Upper School students and faculty have traveled to the area as volunteers during Project Term, and the evening's activities will benefit La Clinica Yanamono and Sawyer Water Filter Systems.
