BUILD Your Future Here on March 5

Create, construct and compose during this hands-on open house for families with children from infancy through middle school, which takes place from 3-5 p.m. on Saturday, March 5. Participants will also design with The Robot Garage and can enter to win an Ozobot. Now Registering for Summer at Sacred Heart

Summer at Sacred Heart staff are planning 11 weeks of summer fun for children ages 3 and up! In addition to themed day camps, including ASH Ninja Warrior week and rock band specialty camp, Summer at Sacred Heart offers academic tutoring, private music instruction, girls' sports camps and extended care. Fun Knights & Gazelle Games

Students in Grades 3-8 are invited to participate in a sports night on Thursday, February 25 from 6-8 p.m. Attendees will play floor hockey, soccer, volleyball and dodgeball and have the opportunity for instruction in golf and/or dance/pom. The $10 fee also includes pizza and a t-shirt. The event is open to the public; all attendees must pre-register here.
Working Together - Everyone Eats!

On Ash Wednesday, February 10, the Sacred Heart community will offer an Empty Bowls symbolic meal of soup and bread to raise money and awareness in the fight to end hunger. Two seatings will be offered, 5:30 and 7 p.m., with a prayer service at 6:15 p.m. (ashes available) A cash donation of $20 per family ($10/additional bowl) is payable at the door, with proceeds benefiting the St. Vincent de Paul Soup Kitchen in Pontiac.

Watch "Beyond Measure" at ASH on January 21

"What counts can't be counted." ASH is proud to host a screening of "Beyond Measure," a film that asks viewers to imagine an education system that values personal growth over test scores. Join us on the evening of January 21 and be inspired. There is no charge for the speaker; both events are open to the public.

GM's Cadillac Design Team Innovates with KH

Recently, members of the General Motors Cadillac Design team visited Kensington Hall and worked with small groups to design one-of-a-kind automobiles from scratch. Problem-solving and creativity were highlighted in this experiential learning event, which generated lots of enthusiasm for future careers in automotive design! Faces of the Heart

Students from the international Sacred Heart community can now become "Faces of the Heart," ambassadors for their schools with deep knowledge of the history and traditions that make our network unique. This youth program will take place in Nantes, Paris and Joigny, France in July 2016, and is open to students 15 and older. Upper School faculty member Luciana Jeler has been integral in organizing and launching this program. Mme Jeler was awarded a grant through the Micheline Wentworth Global Scholars Program earlier this year in order to implement "Faces of the Heart." Read more on sofie.org.
