Signature Programs
In the Middle School for Girls, students discover their voice, develop leadership, and build lifelong friendships all within a learning environment that values purpose, curiosity, and connection. Through a strong curriculum supported by experiential learning like field trips, each girl is empowered to take ownership of her growth. Our Signature Programs offer the most distinctive experiences designed to cultivate courage, empathy, and global awareness.
Advisory: A Foundation for Growth
Each morning begins with Advisory, a core part of our middle school model. Girls meet daily in small, supportive groups where they reflect, set goals, and grow in confidence. With themes that rotate monthly, from self-awareness to leadership, Advisory nurtures essential life skills and creates a strong foundation for academic and emotional success. This time becomes a safe space where girls connect deeply with peers and trusted adults, reinforcing the sense of belonging that defines our community.
Capstone Class Trips: Learning in Motion
Each spring, our grade-level class trips offer opportunities for hands-on learning, independence, and joy. Whether hiking at camp, exploring historical landmarks in St. Louis or Philadelphia, or walking the National Mall in Washington, D.C., these multi-day capstone experiences deepen classroom learning and provide shared memories that last a lifetime. Rooted in the Sacred Heart tradition, these journeys help girls understand the world and themselves in new ways.
Summer Service Opportunities
As part of the international Sacred Heart Network, our Middle School for Girls students can participate in meaningful summer service programs that take their learning beyond campus. By serving alongside peers from other Sacred Heart schools, girls live out Goal III, deepen empathy, and gain independence while experiencing the shared values that unite our global community. These experiences help them develop a broader worldview grounded in purpose and connection.
Network Exchange
Through the international Sacred Heart Network, our Middle School for Girls students can also participate in exchange experiences that allow them to live and learn at other Network schools across the United States. Immersed in new communities while continuing their Sacred Heart education, girls build independence, confidence, and cultural awareness. These exchanges strengthen their sense of belonging to a global community and deepen their understanding of the values that connect Sacred Heart students worldwide.
Together with meaningful field-based learning and hands-on experiences, these Signature Programs help Middle School for Girls students grow into courageous, compassionate young women ready to lead with confidence and heart.
