A Joyful Celebration of 175 Years
We are still glowing from our 175th Anniversary Mass celebration at Ss. Peter and Paul Jesuit Church in Detroit. Joined by our RSCJ, alumni, students, families, Father Gary, and Monsignor John Zenz, we gathered in gratitude to honor the courageous Religious of the Sacred Heart who began this mission in 1851. With beautiful music from our student choir and a joyful reception at the foot of our original location. Thank you for celebrating with us! ❤️

64% of Academy of the Sacred Heart seniors who apply to the University of Michigan are accepted, compared to 19% nationwide. This reflects the strength, confidence, and preparation our students carry beyond our halls. As we celebrate the accomplishments of the Class of 2026, we also look ahead. High School enrollment for Fall 2026 is open. Discover how Sacred Heart students are empowered to lead and achieve.

175th Anniversary Mass: Thurs., May 21

Please join us for our 175th Anniversary Mass on Thursday, May 21, at 3:00 p.m. at Ss. Peter and Paul Jesuit Church (629 E Jefferson Ave, Detroit, MI 48226).  We’ll gather in gratitude for the generations who have carried this mission forward, and we’ll pray for the future of Sacred Heart education, just steps from where our story began in 1851. There will be a Noon dismissal for ALL Sacred Heart students this day.

Day of Service Delivers 10,000 Meals for Michigan Families in Need

As we continue celebrating 175 years of Academy of the Sacred Heart, our community came together in a powerful Day of Service rooted in faith, compassion, and action. In partnership with Kids Coalition Against Hunger, we packed enough food for 10,000 meals, supporting those affected by flooding right here in Michigan.

Sacred Heart education calls us to serve. All are encouraged to join us for our Day of Service on Saturday, April 18, from 10:00 a.m. to Noon in the Field House. In partnership with Kids Coalition Against Hunger (a global nonprofit dedicated to providing nutritious meals to those in need) we will pack meals together. Please register here.
