Our Mission
As a Catholic, Independent, Sacred Heart school for students of all faiths, Academy of the Sacred Heart educates students to learn, serve, and lead with confidence, self-awareness, and integrity.
Our education is not meant to turn the children out small and finished, but seriously begun on a wide basis. Therefore they must leave us with some self-knowledge, some energy, some purpose. St. Madeleine Sophie Barat
More than 200 years ago, St. Madeleine Sophie Barat founded the Society of the Sacred Heart with a simple but powerful vision: to educate the whole person—mind, body, and spirit—in an environment rooted in love and purpose. That vision lives on today through the Goals and Criteria of Sacred Heart Education, which guide how we teach, mentor, and care for each student.
Our Goals and Criteria
Our educational mission is rooted in five fundamental goals that shape every aspect of student life at Academy of the Sacred Heart. Hover to explore each goal; click to dive deeper into how we bring them to life.
From Our Alums...
The impact of a Sacred Heart education doesn’t end at graduation — it echoes throughout life. In the reflections below, alums share how the Five Goals shaped their confidence, faith, independence, and sense of purpose. Whether navigating college, careers, or personal growth, they carry with them a lasting foundation formed by Sacred Heart.
