Sarah Watkins’04

Nearing the end of her time at Northwestern for her MFA in Stage Design, Sarah will be traveling to Paris, France with her parents and younger sister, Beth’09 for 10 days this summer. It will be Beth's first time on a major international trip, and Sarah is thrilled to share the experience with her. Also this summer Sarah will be working for Todd Rosenthal (Tony Award Winner for Best Scenic Design 2008, "August: Osage County") and Walt Spangler in their studios. She plans to defend her thesis portfolio mid-September. In the fall, Sarah will have two shows opening: "She Loves Me", a musical, at Anderson University in Indiana, and "Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street" at her alma mater, Hope College in Holland, MI.

Sarah and her boyfriend, Judah, will be running the 2012 Chicago Half Marathon on September 9th with Team World Vision, a Christian humanitarian organization that helps bring clean water to families in Africa. It is her first time running in a race, and she's very excited! They are currently training, and also working to raise $1,000 for WorldVision. Please visit support.worldvision.org to learn more about the organization and its mission. If you feel moved to share your love or your dollars, you may contact Sarah at sarah.jhp.watkins@gmail.com to find out how to donate.
