Admissions, Overview
Choosing the best school and initiating the admissions process is a significant decision for parents and students. The admissions experience at the Academy of the Sacred Heart is a thoughtful, comprehensive process that honors the seriousness of such a choice for both the school and the applicant family.
The steps to admission vary, depending on the grade level of the student. We encourage prospective students to spend a day of classes (or a half day for younger students) with us and parents to schedule a tour of the campus. The entire family is welcome at our open houses, which will take place on Sunday, November 14, 2010 and Sunday, January 23, 2011 for the 2010-2011 school year. Current students will give tours while faculty and parents are available for questions and discussion. An Upper School open house will also take place on Thursday, November 11, 2010 at 7 p.m. For each prospective student, the process then includes:
- a completed application and a signed Records Release Form for Grades 2-12
- an age appropriate entrance evaluation
Parents seeking admission to Sacred Heart are encouraged to contact the Admissions Office in the fall of the year prior to the desired admission date. Applications are not accepted more than one year in advance.
The Academy of the Sacred Heart offers tuition assistance to qualified students based on their family’s need. Applicants for tuition assistance are asked to complete a Parents’ Financial Statement, which is submitted directly to Independent School Management's FAST (Financial Aid for School Tuition) program.
If you would like to receive materials appropriate for your child’s age, and additional information from the Academy of the Sacred Heart, we invite you to complete an information request form or call:
