Formation to Mission
The Network of Sacred Heart Schools offers each school's leadership the elements of a plan to educate the adults in the school community to its mission, with each school community adopting the models and strategies that best fit the context of the school history and current institutional needs.
At the Academy of the Sacred Heart, we take a team approach with representation from each school constituency. This model integrates what was the campus ministry program with broader goals and objectives of the Network Formation to Mission Plan. The purpose of this committee is to provide leadership and service to the community in the areas of liturgy, worship, prayer and formation in the spirit and mission of the Academy of the Sacred Heart and the Society of the Sacred Heart.
Programs for this year are organized around our annual goal as a school: Goal III: A Social Awareness that Impels to Action. Liturgies, worship opportunities, and resources for our major Sacred Heart feasts and the Church seasons, are highlighted through the lens of this Goal and the theme of "World Hunger," the theme for the Global Education program for the year.
