Athletic Honors Abound

Congratulations to the US varsity lacrosse team on receiving several honors this summer:

• Kathryn Mezwa, Anna Pearson and Lauren Pattah were named to the all-Oakland County lacrosse team.  The article notes that Pearson and Pattah were also named first-team all-state and Mezwa was named second-team all-state.
• Former coach Vicki Oakley was posthumously inducted into the Archdiocese of Detroit's Catholic League Hall of Fame.

Similarly, members of the US varsity tennis team were recently recognized:

• Jessica Davis, #1 singles, received an honorable mention for the all-Oakland County team, as did the #1 and #2 doubles teams.
• The #1 doubles team was named to the Division IV all-state team.
• Coach Judith Hehs was named to the Archdiocese of Detroit's Catholic League Hall of Fame.
  
  

Athletic Department to Offer Health Appraisals on August 4

Parents, does your child need his/her health appraisal for the 2010-2011 school year?  Mark your calendar for August 4.  From 9 a.m. to noon, physicals will be offered for students in Grades 5-12 at a cost of $20.  Check-in is at the Field House; parental sections of the Health Appraisal Form must be completed in advance.
